Dog portrait with brown eyes and black and white fur.

Many people feel a quiet, personal connection to birds and other animals, drawn to the meanings they carry and the way they reflect our inner lives. A bird might symbolise freedom, hope, or the presence of someone remembered; another animal might represent protection, resilience, or a season of change.

In my work, I use this symbolism intentionally, creating art that holds space for those meanings. During difficult times, these images can become touchstones — offering comfort, reflection, and a sense of connection when it’s needed most.

My faith is an important part of who I am and naturally influences my art. Especially with birds, I think about freedom through faith – trust, surrender and the feeling of being carried. Each drawing is created slowly and intentionally, with care and attention. If there is a particular bird or animal that you feel connected to please get in touch and together we can create your perfect image.
